Copying and interlibrary loans

Copying

Copies of materials in the Folklore Archives and the Literary Archives can be made, if copying is possible within the bounds of data protection and other legislation, and if it will not damage the material. Copies can only be used for the agreed purpose. They cannot be distributed or recopied without permission. The copies must be returned or destroyed after use, unless otherwise agreed. If a digital copy is made of the material, it must be destroyed after use or returned to the archive that lent the copy. A fee will be charged for making copies in accordance with the price list at the SKS.

Interlibrary loans

Other archives, libraries and museums may order the oldest letters and manuscripts in the Literary Archives on microfilm on interlibrary loan. The microfilms are ordered at the request of the customer by the institute in which the material will be examined. The contents of microfilms can only be copied on agreement. A fee in line with the price list at the SKS is charged for interlibrary loans.

Microfilms from the Folklore Archives can be used in the Joensuu Folklore Archives.
