Materials from libraries outside Helsinki metropolitan area can be requested for loan through the interlibrary loan service (at the Lending Office). A charge is made for interlibrary loans, except for the loans from the National Repository Library.

The Library sends material from its own collections to other libraries in and outside Finland. Libraries can make interlibrary loan requests by filling in the electronic request form, or by fax or post. Private customers can only make interlibrary loan requests via their local library.
