Mauri Kunnas: books sold to Denmark, Bulgaria and Hungary

The Danish rights to three books by Mauri Kunnas have been sold to Lamberth:

  • Koiramäen talossa
  • Koiramäen lapset kaupungissa
  • Suuri avaruuskirja

Bulgaria (Damyan Yakov) bought the following ones:

  • 12 lahjaa joulupukille
  • Viikingit tulevat

Finally, the Hungarian rights for these two books went to Kolibri:

  • Joulupukki
  • Tassulan tarinoita yhteisnide

These rights have been sold by Rights&Brands.

Linda Liukas: ’Hello Ruby’ sold to Norway and Japan

The Norwegian translation rights to Linda Liukas’ ”Hello Ruby: Matka Internetiin” and ”Hello Ruby: Robotti koulussa” have been sold to the publisher Info Vest by Rights & Brands. The Japanese translation rights went to Shoeisha.

Pirkko-Liisa Surojegin and Nora Surojegin: books sold to Germany

The German translation rights to Pirkko-Liisa Surojegin’s books have been sold to the publisher Urachhaus. Here’s the list:

– Suomen lasten eläinsatuja;
– Maahisen viimeinen matka;
– Metsähiiren tanssi.

Moreover, the same publisher has also bought the rights to ”Untu ja sydäntalven salaisuus”, written with Nora Surojegin.

The rights have been sold by Rights & Brands.

Veijo Baltzar: ”Phuro” sold to Slovakia

The Slovak translation rights to the book ”Phuro” by Veijo Baltzar have been sold to the publishing house ”Trio Publishing” by Sederholm Consulting Agency.

Mia Kankimäki’s ’The Women I Think About at Night’ sold to three countries

Three weeks ago the Dutch publisher Uitgeverij Orlando had acquired the rights for Mia Kankimäki’s ’The Women I Think About at Night’, sold by Elina Ahlback Literary Agency. Now the German rights went to btb Verlag, Random House GmbH (alongside the rights for Kankimäki’s debut book ’Things That Make One’s Heart Beat Faster’), while the North American ones have been acquired by the publisher Simon & Schuster.
