I have got an MA degree from Aalto University (2017) with a background in fine arts. I live and work as a freelance artist in Helsinki. In my work, I use the reminiscence collections of the Finnish Literature Society Archives, and from the beginning of 2025 onwards, I will work at the SKS Research Department.
I have published several graphic novel books about themes that locate in the crossing of personal and common memory. My artworks have been on display in art galleries and museums in about 20 countries. The animated short films that I have directed have been screened on film festivals and art exhibitions all over the world. My specific interests as an artist are the spatiality of comics and, in addition to that, graphic novel exhibitions, drawing and archival research as part of my artistic work. One of my interests is the representation of history in comics.
