I am a theatre researcher with a particular focus on Finnish theatre and drama. I am especially interested in the history of theatre and literature as part of social and cultural history as well as in the relationships between literature/text and theatre/performance. In my forthcoming dissertation, I examine the dramaturgical techniques used in Finnish theatre company KOM-teatteri’s post-1970s performances to reflect on Taistoism, a radical communist movement in the 1970s.
